The journey

Old and ancient Cairo, a night in the Fayoum desert, Luxor by balloon and by felucca, and two days on the Red Sea.

Grand Egypt is the whole country in eight days, in the order that makes sense on the ground: two days in Cairo, two in the Fayoum desert, two in Luxor and two on the Red Sea.

Every transfer is private, every ticket is bought, and the long drives are timed so you sleep through them. Gold is the full experience, with breakfast at 6901 and at Khufu’s facing the Pyramids, the inside of Menkaure’s pyramid, dinner over fire at Magic Lake, horse riding on the coast and a spa morning before you fly. Silver is the same core journey, with lighter costs on those extras.

Questions, answered

What is the difference between Silver and Gold?

Gold is the full Egyphoria experience. Silver is the same core journey — the same days, the same sites, the same private guide and car — with lighter costs in a few places: simpler breakfasts and dinners, and fewer extras.

Are hotels included?

Your Fayoum night at the Desert Glamp, our partner camp by the lake, is included (in summer it moves to Tunis Village). Hotels in Cairo, Luxor and Hurghada are not, so you can stay where you like — or ask us to arrange one of our own apartments or partner hotels.

Is the overnight drive safe and comfortable?

It is a private vehicle with two drivers who take turns, so nobody drives tired. Day five starts late, around 12:30, so you can sleep in.

What happens in summer?

In the hottest months the Desert Glamp night is replaced by a night in Tunis Village. The price updates automatically for your dates.
